Maple Sugaring & Pancake Breakfast

All the pancakes you can eat with pure maple syrup. Watch the syrup making process from start to finish and enjoy guided walks through our maple grove. Compare sap, real syrup and store bought syrup. 20th Annual Maple Festival

Join thousands of people this annual event draws for a weekend of maple-related activities that help bring families together and provides non-commercial, inexpensive entertainment during a quiet time of year.  Enjoy self-guided tours, demonstrations and variety of maple products at the local participating sugar houses.  Refreshments, crafts and kid’s activities round out the festival’s attractions. 10am-4pm, Hebron Center, www.hebronmaplesfestival.com, FREE!

Harlem Globetrotters

There is nothing like the Globetrotters on the basketball court. From championship competitive play to ball-handling magic and gravity-defying dunks, the Globetrotters’ unique blend of basketball has left opponents around the world gasping and audiences applauding.  There will be new & never-before-seen feats with a basketball, but also the classic Globetrotter routines that have become a part of basketball and American folklore.  Come to the arena early and take part in ‘Globetrotter University’ – your chance to learn about the Globetrotters and the sport of basketball up close with the players.  XL Center, 7pm, (860) 525-4500 for tickets.  $

The Secret Garden

The Newington Children’s Theatre musical adaptation of this classic novel will entertain children and adults alike! When 10 year old Mary is sent to live at Misselthwaite Manor she discovers a strange, walled garden. She enlists the help of the gardener's apprentice to coax the garden back to life. The garden seems to have a wonderful, magical effect on all who enter it, and brings new life to her uncle and sickly young cousin as well. 2pm, Avon High School, 510 West Avon Road, (860) 404-4700, $

 

March 27 – Glastonbury

Easter Egg Hunt – FOR DOGS!

Grab your dog and Easter basket and come out to join the fun for this very unique event.  Rain or shine.  Over 6,000 eggs will be hidden. Every egg contains a treat or a prize for you and your dog including gift certificates and other surprises! A Year with Frog and Toad

“I’d like to sing a little ode, about my good friend, Toad” croaks one of the title characters in this musical production. There are insights for both children & adults in this exploration of what makes each of us different and special. As an added treat, 1 hour before each performance there will be plenty of interactive fun for all. Eggs Bunnydict
